Christmas is coming....

So fast I dont feel ready, the season has just flown by, so many things to do and so little time left. We have 8- 10 inches of snow on the ground and it looks like there will be more added to it... The Seattle area is just not fit for snow. too many hills. The news predicts, people react, and really it is usually always worse than expected. I have no issues driving in the snow, well a little issue, but I really have issue driving with others on the road. Silly I know, there are always other people driving on the road, and well, I have never had control over what they were going to do. The mix of snow and ice, a heavy automobile and many people with minimal driving skills(including myself) for driving heavy auto on snow and ice....ugh. So Snow and very little time, not much into driving to the store... I am feeling the pressure of Christmas.

I really love this site. 1000markets and all that you have to do to get on here is sooo totally worth it.

I appreciate the quality checks, I appreciate that you need to put your best work on here, I even appreciate being turned down for certain markets because my work did not fit there profile. ( at first I ddnt, it felt pretty crummy)

I am inspired and energized, Givers gain... I will take the proceeds from my sale and buy something for someone on my Christmas list from someone else, on 1000markets to help them maybe, with there first sale.

The Next Day a new challenge

I am soo enjoying this extended vacation from my regular 9 to 5, (or really 4-10's). Yesterday, I was able to start on the Christmas gifts I intend on giving. I usually try to make something for most for Christmas, it helps me keep in the spirit of the season. I love handmade gifts, I generally, always give one, but rarely ever get one. the ones that I have received in the past have remained as the special gifts that i cherish and remember everything about them, who made them, when i got them, for what occasion... truly special items. This year with all of the negative press, the economy on most peoples mind, I think it is more important than ever, to get creative with the gifts. I have a few friends and family that have been out of a job, for a while, a few that have seen their nearing retirement, and retirement funds, dwindling down and are really feeling the pressure $$$. I would like to help these friends to make something they could give as gifts. sounds easy enough? But what can I help them make? Any ideas?
